Although this beautiful via ferrata was built in 1989, it is the highlight of modern ferratas! 800m of climbing with lots of exposed places is what this via ferrata can offer. Climbing on the right up to the top of Maldonkopf 2632m.
Arrival
Innsbruck - Imst - Hoch Imst - there is a car park next to the cable car.
Approach
From Hoch Imst take the marked forest road 621 to Untermarkter Alm. At the ski slope, turn right onto Latschenhütte and continue along Route 621 to Muttekopfhütte. From there, take the 622 to Schrnitzkar. Furthermore, follow the indicator to the start of the ferrata.
The cable car can save you 45min.
Exit
Come down from the summit, bypass the mountain and head back towards the boarding road.
