Characteristics

An easy via ferrata on beautiful limestone. There are no really difficult passages. It lacks airiness but the views are great. The via ferrata is well secured. The last few dozen meters to the summit are ropeless as there is no reason for it.

Arrival

Drive to Starygrad Paklenica and follow the Alojzija Stepinca road up into the mountains to Paklenica National Park. There are several viewpoints along the way. The asphalt ends in a large parking lot, from which we start.

Boarding

We go north on the "Vaganac-Bojinac" path, passing the Žlibati Kuk rock formation and the remarkable Jagin Kuk rock formation. Then we connect to the "Bojin Kuk normal path" section of the via ferrata and turn right (east) on the rock platform, where the "Bojin Kuk" via ferrata begins.

Exit

We go down the "normal route" and turn onto "put Kružni" to avoid the summit. Then we return to the "Vaganac-Bojinac" route, which takes us back to the car.

Interesting facts

Watch out for snakes.
