Characteristics

It is a more demanding via ferrata due to a difficult traversal of difficulty level D at the end of the route. The start is steep with a steep grade C climb, followed by a rope bridge and another steep climb. (At this point there is an oblique branch to the left - variant E with extremely difficult traversal.) Continue straight ahead with a climb of difficulty C further uphill. At the top there is an alternative exit to the right. The route leads left to the next rope bridge and then to a fairly long and difficult traversal of difficulty level D, which leads to Via Ferrata Rövid Vágta, where both routes meet. This is followed by a climb of difficulty grade C/D to the rocky summit. The via ferrata is suitable for advanced climbers, well secured with steel cable and only minimal artificial steps.

During the breeding season from February 15th to July 15th, climbing some upper sections of the climbing routes is not possible. Unfortunately, we were unable to find out more information about the specific locations to which this measure applies. For more information, visit www.vasaltutak.hu.

Boarding

From the parking lot, walk east past the Köpince Fogado restaurant. After 50 meters the road turns left but you continue to follow the footpath straight ahead. After about 100 meters, turn right at the intersection. After almost 200 meters in a southeasterly direction you will reach the riverbed of the stream. Here you turn right again and walk about 700 meters south. The approach is to the left of the path via wooden stairs to Via Ferrata Lemenet. At the entrance to Lemenet, turn left and follow the wooden stairs and paths for about 30 meters to the entrance to Via Ferrata Megalománia.

Exit

From the summit, take the well-trodden forest path to the right. There are pink arrows on the trees that lead you to the "Lemenet" via ferrata descent in about 5 minutes. The descent ends at the access path, which takes you back to the parking lot.

Interesting facts

The Köpince Fogado restaurant at the parking lot offers excellent home-made cuisine. We recommend the burger with pulled pork!
