Characteristics

This is a moderately difficult via ferrata suitable for slightly advanced climbers. The approach is rather gentle and constantly changes between vertical climbing and quite difficult traverses without artificial footholds. The difficulty levels are mainly C and D. The via ferrata is very well secured.

Season: July 16th - February 14th

During the breeding season from February 15th to July 15th, climbing some upper sections of the climbing routes is not possible. Unfortunately, we were unable to find out more information about the specific locations to which this measure applies. For more information, visit www.vasaltutak.hu.

Boarding

From the parking lot, walk east past the Köpince Fogado restaurant. After 50 meters the road turns left but you continue to follow the footpath straight ahead. After about 100 meters, turn right at the intersection. After almost 200 meters in a southeasterly direction you will reach the riverbed of the stream. Here you turn right again and walk about 500 meters south to Via Ferrata Mohos Csitri. From here, the Via Ferrata Rövid Vágta is about 100 meters away. The approach is to the left of the path via wooden stairs and is poorly marked (like most via ferratas in this area). The stream bed runs on the right side.

Exit

From the summit, take the well-trodden forest path to the right. There are pink arrows on the trees that lead you to the "Lemenet" descent via ferrata in about 5 minutes. The descent ends at the access path, which takes you back to the parking lot.

Interesting facts

The Köpince Fogado restaurant at the parking lot offers excellent home-made cuisine. We recommend the pulled pork burger!
