Characteristics

Ferrata HZS in Tatranska Kotlina is the oldest Slovak ferrata. It was built in 2004 in an old limestone quarry behind Tatranská Kotlina. The quarry serves as a training rock with over 30 open paths. Some go directly from the ferrata. The ferrata itself is almost purely rocky with a minimum of artificial elements - there are only two handles and three risers, which are already quite unstable.
