Characteristics

Two short via ferratas built by climbers from Písek in 2020 and 2022. Sekyrka I has a length of 97 m and difficulty level B. Sekyrka II has a length of 38 m and after 12 m is divided into an easier and a harder section - both end at the summit, difficulty level C.

Arrival

Park near the Jirásek Bridge in Písek and walk upstream along the Otava, directly past the u Sulana guest house to the entrance (approx. 1.4 km from the bridge).

Boarding

Both entrances are marked with a sign that is directly visible from the cycle route.

Exit

Two descent options: a) along a designated rope back to entry no. 1 b) along a path marked with red dots and arrows back to the cycle route

Interesting facts

It is not a classic via ferrata with a steel cable. Anchored climbing ropes or chains serve as security. There are some parentheses at one point.
