Characteristics
This route was designed primarily for absolute beginners and parents with children. It serves as a practice path and will be supplemented in the future with stirrups and step bolts that will be used for training rope techniques.
The via ferrata is located about 150 meters upstream from the Havranka via ferrata direction on the right side of the river. It is slightly hidden among the vegetation, but a well-trodden path leads to it from the Pont sur la Vltava bridge.
Arrival
The via ferrata is located directly in the town of Český Krumlov. There are 4 parking lots nearby, all of which are paid, and they are all about 5-10 minutes away.
Boarding
From the parking lot at the wooden bridge, walk upstream past the raft rental shop to the Pont sur la Vltava bridge. On the other side of the bridge, turn left between the railings and follow the river bank for about 20 meters.
If you first did the Havranka via ferrata with an entry on the other side of the rock face and an exit on this side, follow the path uphill, about 300 meters on the right you will see a staircase. At the end of the stairs, turn right before the bridge and walk along the bank for about 20 meters.
Exit
The descent is identical to the ascent.
Interesting facts
The via ferrata begins and ends on the river bank.
As already mentioned, this via ferrata is dedicated to practice purposes, but is not only suitable for beginners. Even slightly more experienced climbers can master it completely with the help of the rock holds.
