Characteristics
Short but quite bold valley via ferrata on the outskirts of Brand. The steep, approx. 80 m long ferrata was defused by a lot of brackets, so that even beginners can venture on the via ferrata adventure. Between the slightly overhanging vertical bracket passages there is always an opportunity to rest - that is, built for beginners.
Arrival
From Bregenz or the Arlberg Pass to Bludenz and there into the Brandnertal to Brand. Either park at the Dorfbahn (the approach takes about 10 minutes longer) or park in the area of the tennis court / climbing park.
Public transport: by train to Bludenz and then by bus to Brand.
Approach
From the tennis court on the gravel path through the climbing park. Across a stream and then turn right up the meadow to the edge of the forest. In the forest up to the rock wall, at the upper end of which is the entrance.
You can also start from the parking lot of the Dorfbahn. From there on Alvierbachweg to the other side of the stream to the climbing park (total access approx. 25 minutes).
Exit
From the end of the steel cable, follow the path uphill briefly, you will meet the hiking trail to Kellenegg. Then go down on the left, past the entrance to the starting point.
Interesting facts
The complete via ferrata equipment can be borrowed from the climbing park.
Because of the short boarding and descending, it is also feasible when passing through.
