Predicting whether..

Characteristics
Ideal for ferrata climbers of all levels, this via ferrata combines technical challenges with panoramic views. It has two entry options, a K3 and a K5, with an ADN ladder (moving and turning in overhang, very difficult, only with rest-sling!) followed by several overhangs. Let's not forget the different types of bridges, as well as two very aerial 130-meter zip lines.
The facilities are very good, as Via Libre has accustomed us to. They somewhat repeat the formula of the games on other ferratas. What's different here is the way the sticks are passed.
The approach to this via ferrata is quite comfortable, and the return is identical. There are several escape routes along the route.
Arrival
If we have a normal car, we enter Sierra Güejar along the main street and reach a fork. There is a sign prohibiting entry to caravans and motorhomes. Turn left, following the signs for the Town Hall. We reach a square where several streets meet, where there are garbage bins and a three-spout fountain. Google Maps will direct you to turn left, climbing a steep hill and passing a 1.9 m wide street. We don't follow the Google directions, but turn right onto Calle del Agua (other optin before turn to the left and you will also find a more or less normal street up to the ferrata). Then we immediately turn left at a very tight turn with limited space. We continue along Calle Sotillejo, which is very steep and only fits one car. We reach a fork where we must turn left onto Camino Prados. If we continue straight, it becomes a track.
Approach
From the football field, we climb the track and turn left at the first fork. It's marked with a sign. Shortly after, we'll see the foot of the track.
Descent
The exit we will do it going down by staples until via of escape next to zip lines, both the entrance and exit are well signposted.
Points of interest
- in summer it should be done very early in the morning to avoid the scorching midday sun.
- tibetan bridge, monkey bridge, zip line
- ADN (or DNA) ladder VERY difficult and the official level is underestimated, it's K5 (E)!
As typical for the style in Spain/France the cable is only for security and should NOT be used for climbing, so of course also the difficulty level is based on that (different style like in the alps etc. where the cable has much more tension and counts as part of the ferrata)
