Extended version of the Schützensteig via ferrata for more experienced climbers.

Arrival

Salzburg - Bad Reichenhall - Berchtesgaden - Obersalzberg/Kehlsteinhaus - Hinterbrand and continue to the end of the street to the parking lot.

Boarding

From the parking lot towards Jennerbahn station. Before the station, turn left to Mitterkaseralm. Follow the asphalt road to the Jenner mountain station. After another bend, go to Little Jenner. Walk past the junction to the start of the Schützensteig and follow the arrows on the trees downhill. The path can be quite muddy and in some places there is a rope for support.

Like when boarding.

Interesting facts

The end of this via ferrata connects seamlessly with the beginning of the Schützensteig, which takes you to the cross on the Kleiner Jenner.
