Characteristics
A short via ferrata to the top of Niederer Krippenstein.
Arrival
Obertraun, car park at the bottom station of the Krippenstein cable car.
Approach
From the top cable car station descend the wide gravel road towards the third cable car station.
Exit
Follow the yellow signs back up the plateau and then through a short gorge to the main road.
Interesting facts
- The start of the ferrata is not marked! But ropes start a few meters from the main road, you can not overlook it...
- Short, very nice ferrata in beautiful surroundings with views of the Dachstein
- The trail can be combined with ferrata Kuckucksnest klettersteig on the way back to the cable car
