Characteristics

One of the most popular tours in the Dachstein area, which you can combine with sleeping on the Seethalerhütte https://www.alpenverein.at/seethalerhuette/. Ferrata is predominantly horizontal, but there may also be some unpleasant passages. It is strongly recommended to secure yourself and not to underestimate simple places. Ferrata can be climbed from one side as well as from the other side (by cable car in the direction of Dachstein, parking is by the cable car)

Arrival

Liezen - towards Schladming, but we turn to Weißenbach. Still on the main road, drive through Percht and after a few minutes turn right to Feisterer Inn, where is parking.

Approach

From the cable car go east through the Schladming glacier to Rosemarie Stollen. Here through the ladder to the tunnel and along the south side of the Austria-Schartenweg (can be used when the tunnel is closed). Now across the Edelgrieß glacier (necessary cats ..) to the south side of Koppenkarstein. Then along the ridge to Edelgrießhöhe.

Exit

Through Guttenberghaus down or back.
