Characteristics

A very easy, short and well equipped via ferrata, ideal for beginners and children. The most interesting part is the slightly overhanging vertical climb at the end.

Arrival

From Barcelona, take the A2 highway to Igualada, then take the C-37 road until after Pont de Armentera. At the roundabout turn right and follow signs to Figuerola del Camp.

Approach

From the parking, follow the dirt road in direction of the mountain. After passing a rural house there is a bend to the right. There is a signpost in front of you that indicates the direction of the starting point of the via ferrata - simply follow the track towards the rock face.

Descent

At the top, you can turn right and follow the dirt road back to Figuerola del Camp. You can also turn left and hike to Tossal Gros and El Cogulla, then back.

Points of interest

This via ferrata is ideal for those who've just recently started out with via ferratas, for families, and for those who'd like to combine hiking with a short via ferrata.
