Characteristics

One level more demanding than ferratas Anita Goitan and Ceria-Merlone in the neighbourhood. Includes vertical, airy walls and also extremely exposed ledges.

Arrival

By car through Cave del Predil to Pecol - Altipiano del Montasio (1500 m).

Approach

It takes only 20 minutes to get from the parking lot to Rifugio Brazza (1660 m). We continue on a nice zig-zag path to the top of Cima di Terrarossa (2420 m). It is not obligatory to go to the summit (as via ferrata starts before the top), but as the top is very near it is worth visiting it.

Exit

From the end of via ferrata we go down to Forca dei Disteis (2201 m) and back to Rifugio Brazza - 1,5h.

Interesting facts

From the end of via ferrata it takes us only 45 minutes to get to the top of the highest peak in the western Julian Alps, Jôf di Montasio (2753 m). On the way we will see capricorns for sure!
