Characteristics
Via Ferrata built in the central rock of Mount Kablar, where the Turčinovac cave is located, after which it is named and which is also the place where the via ferrata ends.
Via Ferrata Turčinovac starts vertically with a metal ladder. They are raised a few meters from the ground, so people would not be able to access the via Ferrata on their own. This is understandable because the only way to descend from the via Ferrata is by abseiling and it must be performed by experts.
This via Ferrata is very short, but it is therefore ideal for the first encounter with this type of climbing.
Arrival
Via Ferrata Turčinovac is located in Ovčar Banja (Ovčar-Kablar gorge), in the municipality of Čačak, Moravica district. It is less than 20 km from the city of Čačak, and 155 km from Belgrade.
Approach
The trail for access to the Ferrata starts from the mountain lodge PD Železničar. The vehicle can be parked on the lower plateau, in front of the Dom restaurant, or on the upper plateau in front of the mountain lodge itself, for which you need to turn left from the road a little earlier. From there, follow the forest path, marked as path 1, to the hermitage of St. Sava. Below the hermitage, path 2 continues to the right and quickly reaches the base of the central rock.
Descent
