Characteristics

A nice via ferrata above the town Loen ending on the hill Hoven (1011 m.n.m). It offers several difficulties. The "classic" path leads through section D with the possibility of bypassing C.

Arrival

Arrive in Loen and park in front of Alexandria.

Approach

From the Alexandria Hotel towards the Loen Skylift cable car, across the Gjolmunna River, right up the hill. In a short while you will reach the beginning of the ferrata, which is on a wooden ramp.

Exit

You can descend by cable car, or down the road and go back to the parking lot. About 8 km from the top cable car station back to the parking lot.

Interesting facts

Possibility to choose ferrata difficulty from C to E/F - see topo. The ferrata offers one of the longest rope bridge in Europe.
