Characteristics
The rock above the town of Ornans extends over a length of 360 meters and offers a 260 meter long basic variant of a via ferrata. This variant runs largely in a traverse style and offers a variable short section with difficulty D. Otherwise it is predominantly graded with difficulties from B to B/C. There are several bridges, with the longest being at the end. Thanks to an escape option, this bridge and the variable D-section can be bypassed.
Arrival
Head towards Besançon and the village of Ornans to the museum car park.

Interesting facts
On the rock there is also a longer variant with difficulty E, which forms an independent via ferrata, as well as a short variant with difficulty E/F.
